On Wednesday, 11 May, the Head and Deputy Head of Lower School and the teachers and students of Harrow International School Hong Kong welcomed a team of officers and teachers from the School-based Curriculum Development (Primary) Section from the Education Bureau of Hong Kong and local Primary Schools. The group was shown around the School campus and were invited to observe some lessons. Following this, they were given a presentation on how the school uses some innovative teaching methods to encourage early talking skills, visible thinking and self-directed learning. The officers and teachers were very engaged with each other and are proactively looking for ways to encourage self-directed learning in particular, which is currently a curriculum initiative in Hong Kong.
