A quartet of Prep School literary experts has been crowned the Kids’ Lit Quiz Hong Kong Champions, booking a place in the competition’s global final next year.
First devised in New Zealand, the Kids’ Lit Quiz is an annual literature quiz for students aged 10-13 years, and encourages them to become lifelong readers, challenging and motivating them to expand their knowledge of authors and genres. More than 8,000 children participate worldwide.
Harrow Hong Kong’s ‘Team 3’, comprising Jonathan (Year 8, Banks), Stirling (Year 8, Darwin), Kate (Year 7, Parks) and Alicia (Year 7, Fry) and supported by Head of Library Mrs Mary Jones, is the third team from the School to win the national event since 2013.
The foursome will now advance to the World Final, to be held in July in Singapore, where they will compete against fellow national champions from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, UK and USA.
